I'm a guy midway through my twenties. A while ago, my one and only relationship so far, which had lasted over 5 years, came to an end. It left me very sad, yet excited to finally get to explore new opportunities.
Something I had told myself is that I wanted to try casual hookups before going into a new relationship again, because I had never got to try that and obviously saw my friends have so many stories to share.
Recently, I've started talking online to some girls and one conversation turned more serious. I started flirting heavily with this one girl and she told me she would wanna meet up and was looking for something serious. I decided to play it honest: I told her I wasn't necessarily interested in a serious relationship right now and that I'd wanna see her if she could lower her expectations for now. She agreed to that. We met up and had a great first date, which even escalated to a lot of kissing, and we hinted to each other the next one may go even further.
The thing is, she can't seem to stop messaging me now, and I don't mind that either. We had a great time, I really enjoyed spending time with her and I'm thinking about her often now. I guess what has me conflicted is that I just don't know whether this equals being in love, or what I should do now regarding the goal I had set for myself of trying to meet several girls casually before diving into something serious again. On one hand, I could see myself being really happy with her if we kept going, on the other hand I may continue to feel that void that I never got to see more. While I told her I'd wanna start off casually and then decide further, I'm already beginning to feel pressure of having to make a choice soon. How long do you all think I could hold off without making her lose interest and is there anyone who can relate or give me advice what I should do?
