So I'm a lesbian and I have not been on a date in over a year. That was, until, last week when I went on a first date with a girl that I am really really vibing with.
We got along great and have been having really good conversations since, we're meeting up tonight for a second date and I am really excited! However, on our first date, there was no physical contact (no holding hands or any kind of touching, think middle school dance rules), and I am usually not a super physically affectionate person with friends and whatnot, I'm not super known for giving hugs or anything like that. I am super down bad for this person though, and (due to some traumatic experiences) I am hyper-aware of things like consent and I have a crippling fear of infringing physical boundaries so I am pretty much incapable of making the first moves for even things as little as a hand-hold or a hand on a shoulder.
How can I express or imply that "Hey, if you were to kiss me, I'm super down for that" without directly asking for it? I don't want to seem like I'm trying to move too quickly but honestly, after the pandemic and years of quarantine and isolation, I have no idea how to navigate dating as a 26 year old, so any and all advice is appreciated!
