Got asked out on a date, accepted, now Im a bit nervous cause we haven't talked much and idk what to expect

It's a dating site match ofc. After matching I struck up a conversation and we talked about basic stuff, studies, sports and series either of us watches. I recently moved places and the guy seems to know my current city, and my question about recs for places to see lead to him asking if I'd like to go on a date with him next week, his words were that we "could see it as a city exploration". All of this happened in the span of about 3 weeks or so, he's a very infrequent texter, usually takes a day or so to reply. With an irl date happening next weekend, I am a bit nervous as of what to expect.

I have next to zero experiences in dating. One of the dates was very cool for a first date but then the connection didn't grow in time, and the last first date I went on (about a month ago) ended up in my date saying it was "fun but there was no emotional connection". To me this seems like a pretty unreasonable expectation, because with that guy, we also didn't text much before going out and for me first dates are basically to decide if I want to see them again, but not the make-or-break kinda thing. I guess I am a bit confused cause I can't say what guys expect from first dates? I'm scared of the "we didn't emotionally connect" story repeating cause ngl it bummed me out a bit cause the date itself was fun (he agreed with that). When you ask someone you matched with and sporadically texted with, what do you expect?
