In general, I don't mind apps. I find them fun on the whole, albeit I wouldn't use most of them for serious dating.
For me, I'm acquainted with the "slow burn" method of dating someone, and it's really all I'm comfortable with. Getting to know someone well over time, flirting back and forth, and having that foundation already, vs going out with someone 3-4 times and having so many men/people in general having expectations of sex or making out or whatever.
And none of this is to say that I'm willing to compromise my own comfort or expectations for anyone else's sake.
Absolutely not.
I know what I'm comfortable with and stick with it.
I'm just realizing that I've never really had to go out of my to date, because my relationships have all developed from friendships.
And it's odd to see what many people's expectations are.
Or rather, I'm just unaccustomed to it.
