Advice please
I met someone in mid October on tinder and we met up soon after. We liked each other and continued texting, but he travels for work and is 5 hours away currently. He drove to see me early November once then again mid November. After the second time he seemed really into me and we video chatted quite a bit. He said he wanted to visit when he gets a day off for thanksgiving, but he gave an excuse. Then he said something about coming over dec 12ish and I never saw him or asked about it. He started getting kinda distant with one word answers and not calling anymore. I think he was stressed because he works like 80 hours a week. His brother works w him and his car broke down so he gave an excuse that he didn’t want to leave his brother without transportation. Understandable I guess. Then he said he’d stop over when he’s going home for xmas. I didn’t press him about it or anything. I would send him like one or two snaps a day at this point because I didn’t want to bother him. I don’t usually chase after men but I did text him first more than once, after he told me “dont be scared to text me” so I took him for his word and assumed he was just busy. A few days ago in snapchat he posted to his story of driving in his hometown already. Well he texts me today after like 5 days of silence saying hey beautiful. I don’t want to be petty and not respond but I also don’t want to start drama if I say something snotty but at the same time don’t want to play the fool and be nice about everything. Am I being petty and over thinking all this. I thought we were on the same page. I told him pretty early on I’m not looking for just hookups and he said he works a lot which is ok because I like my freedom too but is it so hard to say hey hope you had a nice day. Should I move on from this chicken shit or play his game? I really like this guy and want it to be longer than a one month fling. I worry I will come across as needy if I casually reply as if he did nothing wrong but at the same time don’t want to be petty since we’ve only been talking a couple months.
