Natural gas has begun flowing this week along the new 1,800-mile, $55 billion "Power of Siberia" pipeline linking Russia and China -- the most significant energy project for Russia since the end of the Soviet Union. It's a testimony to the increasingly close, and for the United States quite dangerous, ties between the two countries.
