Why is texting your date/crush so boring as compared to meeting them in person?

I find that when I'm with my date, it's super easy to talk to her. But when we text, sometimes it gets really boring. This actually stresses me out because I don't want her to think I'm boring.

What do I do? Have you experienced this before? Is this normal?

Details - She's [23F] a friend from high school whom I've [23M] only recently started talking to a lot and meeting a lot. I don't really know her too well, but know her enough to have a good chat with her in person. In person we have an amazing time but it's on text where things ebb a bit.
