For context, I'm a 31 year old guy who's never dated, never been in a relationship, etc., and presumably never will, at this point. I find it baffling that dating and relationships are such a normal part of people's lives. I've gone my entire life never connecting with another person in a more than platonic kind of way. Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying that I think dating is easy, I know it's not, but most people are able to meet people they connect with and date, and usually have many relationships over the course of their lives. So why can't I?
And I know, I know there are plenty of people who struggle to date, just like myself, but even still, it seems like we're in a minority. Everyone else can do it just fine. Now, I'm not trying to complain or say that "the world isn't fair", or anything like that. It's just frustrating, because I want to experience that, too, but I don't get to. I have to go my entire life without ever knowing what it's like to be with another person, and that bothers me, a lot. Most people can be with someone. Why not me?
