I did the things I like. I went to places I like. I went out, attended parties. It's not that I didn't have any social interaction. I actually met some cool people I hung out with more often. I purposefully did not do any of these things thinking "maybe I'll meet a cute girl here". And guess what, I *didn't* meet any girls I had a meaningful connection with.
All this advice about how not actively looking for someone will result in finding someone, the one advice I hadn't tried yet, is a load of crap. You'd have to be extremely lucky, but you can't count on that.
