So 25F have been dating this man 30'sM for almost 2 months now! Things are good, but there is one thing that makes me raise an eyebrow. His attitude toward my job.
I work as a phlebotomist (I draw blood). I work for a collection center where I do draws for pre-employment drug screens, actual drug tests, STD tests, paternity test, allergy and more. I love what I do, and being a phlebotomist really makes me happy. I'm good at it (and I'm not good at many things haha).
Whenever he asks me "what did you do at work today?" or "how was work?" ill be honest and say I drew X amount of STD tests or X amount of drug tests. And he just gets SO disgusted. It's like he believes im contracting these diseases or getting drugs in my system from doing this. It makes ZERO sense to me.
How can I approach his bad attitude toward my job? I never shit on his job or his interests. Why is it acceptable for him to do it to me? Or maybe he doesn't realize he's giving attitude? Help?
I can't date someone long term who can't stand my job. I wear gloves and all other protection to keep myself safe too.
