A girl (29F) that I (39M) met at work (she doesn’t work there anymore, so no problems there) have been getting somewhat involved lately but the last few days she seems very flaky.
To put it in context. We would hang out on breaks and everything was great; laughter and happiness ensued. We have a lot in common. I offered her a ride home on Christmas Eve and she accepted and we both went to get breakfast before I dropped her off. She texted me before I got home, thanking me for going out with her and even to say merry Christmas (on Christmas OC course).
She got fired on the 27th and I texted her to ask what happened and she said she thinks I’m cool and wants to hang out. After that we didn’t text for a bit but I eventually sent one and we started talking again, with her eventually saying we should do something again.
We talked and eventually set up a date. We went to a couple of bars and we hit it off. We eventually ended up at hers and did things (you can imagine). Over the course of the week we texted and talked a few times; the last time talking being on Thursday. I asked her to a movie and she said yes. The day we had planned, it ended up not happening because her Gramps was in the hospital. She said she was stressed and didn’t respond to my phone calls, which is understandable.
Today I called but she doesn’t answer. I don’t want to call more than once and look needy. I’m sure she can see I called and I guess the ball is now in her court. Is this girl being flaky? Even after we had talked about doing things together? It seems like we have a lot in common and we have a great time together, so it’s all the more puzzling for me. What gives and what should I do?
