My Pakistani crush who’s an engineering classmate told me she can’t date, but I saw her today with a boyfriend

I feel like such an idiot and feel so stupid. I’m a dual American/Canadian with a Pakistani ethnic background. I confessed my feelings to this girl I met in the Fall semester after we came close. She was so flattered but said she can’t date because she’s overwhelmed with school work. I understood, obviously because we’re both in mechanical engineering. She’s been ignoring my texts a lot and got charged for academic dishonesty in thermodynamics 1 and failed the course btw. Fast forward to today, I see her with another Pakistani guy holding hands. I can’t even describe the heartbreak I felt during that moment. I know I gave bigger fish to fry since I want to get into MIT or Stanford for grad school, but this hurts a lot
