Just for funsies... Given traditional gender stereotypes and men as the "providers" or people that are most likely to have more money (see: glass ceiling), I'll direct this question at the ladies.
Let's say you're going on two dates,
guy A is dead broke and lives in his moms basement, but he's a great guy and he has aspirations to improve himself and his life.
guy B is a successful investor and has a nice yacht, sports car, and can take you on luxury vacations to the islands. He's a bit of an egotistical jerk, though.
Not to generalize rich successful people, or people down on their luck, but let's say the aforementioned hypothetical scenario is true, how much would money influence your choice for who to date?
Would you stand by the slob and support him while he gets his life together, but every night is canned soup and Netflix. Or, do you want weekends in Tahiti, but he's a bit stuck up?
Men, feel free to chime in on your experiences with dating women who do or don't have money if you wish.
I know that this is kind of like a classic scenario/discussion.
I do think that having money makes dating easier, as it offers more fun activities to help highlight you plus it makes you seem more stable and secure/accomplished.
