A few days ago I [24F] matched with a guy [24M] on Bumble. He had no bio or anything, just basic profile stuff like school/height but I recognized him as a friend of some of my roommates so I figured he was a decent/normal guy and swiped right. He and I have never met but I've seen him in pictures before, and I have a picture with my roommates in my profile so I'm sure he realized I'm friends with them too. Anyways we were having a decent but polite conversation but it wasn't really going anywhere even though I tried to hint by steering the conversation to restaurants. I was kind of wary since I figured if he wasn't asking me out at that point, he wasn't interested, but following advice from people on Reddit who just said to ask him out, I messaged him saying that if he wanted to get brunch or something to text me and I left my number.
He texted me saying "Hey "cowgurl12" it's ___ from Bumble. I'd love to get brunch or something sometime :)" I responded after like half a day so as not to be too eager and he matched that. so we've been going back and forth w/ one response per day planning something out. So far he said he'd be free Saturday, but we haven't figured out a time/location yet. I jumped back on Bumble and saw that his profile was now completely filled out with a bio and Spotify. Granted, he might have just been a new user, but I'm guessing this combined with the fact that he didn't really ask me out or work out concrete details for the date, he's probably not that interested/excited about me?
