Do girls even take a look at inferior guys when there's better guys around in the same vicinity?

For example I'm 5'8

But if a girl walks into a room or gathering where there's a bunch of guys and obviously there's going to be some 6ft+ guys who are also better looking, do guys like me even get noticed or looked at?

I mean like today at work it was me and my coworker, and hes taller and better looking, and this cute girl came in, he was the one at the front desk to talk to her, I noticed her and then just never looked her away again because why bother, I'm probably invisible to her
