Super interested ** typo in title
This is a long post, but, please read it all for a better understanding before replying and giving your opinion because there's a lot more to it than my one mistake.
There's this girl I knew through a fan group from an obscure band we both like. We've known each other for years but recently she started talking to me on FB, sent me a selfie, then gave me her number. And said she wanted to me to come up to see her this week or next.
We've been texting back and forth for the past few days. Anyway, she's an hour ahead, and I sent her a message at 11 her time forgetting it was later her time than mine.
I sent her "That stream was amazing. I really liked Dustin's visuals, but some people commented that they didn't. What did you think?" Talking about the live stream our favorite band did a stream.
Next morning, I sent her the message "Hey. I'm sorry if I texted you too late last night. I think you may be an hour ahead in time zones. "
"Btw. I'm going to be busy this week, and I'm camping with my roommate on my birthday on the 19th. Could I come up on the 20th or so and we can catch the Dosio stream on the 23rd?"
She didn't reply via text so I sent her the message on Facebook saying "Sorry if I made things weird".. Major mistake on my part.
She then texted back with "I'm going to be starting my new role officially this upcoming week. My CEO and I had a call yesterday too and basically said I will be starting a market research project! So will be working like 7 days a week if I need to. I've been technically off since 2nd week of July. And getting paid, doing light work. So now it's back at it.
"But once I get settled in this role when it isn't so new. This is all unchartered territory since we are a startup and repositioning! It's exciting.🥰"
I replied back with "Oh wow. Congrats! I'm excited for you!"
She replied back with "But that sounds fun for your bday dude. Have fun!.. Yeah I knew I would be doing some marketing but didn't know the degree to which I would be doing it. "
I replied back with "Just let me know when you're free."
She replied back with "Yeah! Like I said I don't have a schedule but this new project will be starting this week so he told me to expect to be working sometimes 7 days if I have to to get it done. So I don't know what to expect. But probably in the next month or so, will get a better handle of my free time. I was off for the last like 5 weeks and that's why I asked but now this project is gonna be taking all my times. Haha and it's not like I clock in at 9 and done at 5 it's just not a traditional role like that. Which I'm ready for! Been waiting for this my whole life. "
And then she followed up with" But not anytime in the foreseeable future! Just gotta buckle down now. 😊"
Then I replied back with " That's so awesome! Glad you got a good career "
Then that was the end of it.
TL;DR: I acted eager by apologizing on another medium.. and she gave me a super long soft rejection. How can I gain interest back?
