So I normally don't do this cuz it never came to this point. This is very strange of me to do, to ask stranger's advice. But I guess I don't want to ruin this up.
So I (20M) used to live in country X and moved to country Y. When I did, my crush (20F) who is also my best friend, moved into my old school and kinda met from our senior group. I have never met her face to face, it's always been on the internet. I've known her for 2 years and I think now I kinda like her. Thing is, idk what exactly to do.
I was told she is ok with long distance relationship but She said she never dated, and neither have I. We never really flirted or anything and she also said when the times comes, she'll see. Sometimes I feel she hints that she likes being single? I don't exactly know. But she did say she likes someone's who's smart and funny and can vibe with, which I think I check those boxes lol.
We do pretty click and get along great. Im confident to say that we are pretty close.
Ever since I moved out, I have been low on self esteem and self confidence. I do go through depressive times and sometimes I feel like my head is gonna explode. And due to this, sometimes I feel like when there is the most insignificant little thing, I feel like she hates me or something and then I hate myself. Idk, I feel really upset when we don't communicate properly. I know, sounds really stupid.
So here I ask you, what should I do? Should I backout and stay friends and not risk losing our friendship? Or should I approach and tell her? And if so, how? I'm not so smooth or experienced in these sorta things. I want to tread carefully and not ruin anything. Thanks for any help :)
Edit: my opinion on how I'd take this is that if I go back for a visit and meet her. So then she'd know what I'm like. I'm also kinda don't wanna lose her.
