Hey friends, So I’ve backed myself into a corner here and my feelings are too strong to outright sever ties. I’ll try and keep this as short as possible.
1) I started seeing (Z, M25) in mid June of this year
2) In August I asked if he was seeing anyone else, he said yes. I decided to break it off, but he begged to continue seeing me/ said he “was waiting for his visa to be renewed or he would have to leave the country.... so he “can’t commit to anything right now”
3) yes this was shady, and I should have cut my losses but I thought ok reasonable fingers crossed
4) it’s now October, he got a place with room mates and I assume his visa got approved (he never updated me on this)
5) I met his friends and his roommates in the meantime and we began to see each other more frequently (3 times a week) and we have each other on social media
6) all is technically good except I’ve noticed a pattern where he won’t talk to me one day out of the week
7) I think he is seeing another chick on the day he doesn’t contact me
....... so in total it’s i been 4 months, no commitment or mention of exclusivity after that first conversation and he mysteriously disappears for a day once a week.
Either I am completely overreacting and too pressed about constant contact OR he really is being a two timing asshat.
Over the months we have gotten increasingly closer and it really feels like we are developing a relationship. I know the simple solution would be just to ask, but I wanted to get input and other people’s opinions.
I usually jump the gun on things and regret my decisions afterwards. All I know is I don’t deserve to be two timed. I’ve gone on a date and hooked up with someone in between this time frame but I’m in so deep with this dude it’s not as simple as just cutting him off and forgetting about it.
I was hoping that he would come around with time, and so far he has been ( hanging out more, meeting the friends, saying more relationship type things)
So idk guys, I’m in the middle of a tense school period and the emotional fall out from this ( if I were to end things) would be a lot and almost certainly throw me off my game. This is such a shitty situation.
