(48F) Soon to be single and open to potentially dating more than casually, what are some questions you have determined work to weed out the people you aren't compatible with before investing too much time?

Not sure I'm ready for this, but want to be mentally prepared if it arises; what has worked for you dating in the last few years? To show you how rusty I am, the last time I dated seriously was before phones could send dick pics.
