Canceling a date where's he's already booked and paid for a hotel, should I offer to cover half of it?

I'm just not really feeling it, and I think this guy has paid about £50 - £100 for a hotel night. I feel a bit guilty about that, although I didn't specifically ask him to do so and would have been fine going to his place

Should I offer to split half the cost with his as a goodwill gesture? Have only met this guy once before. He's just a bit too arrogant for me and his kissing skills were not that good
