Back freshman year of college, I met this guy through a mutual friend. We went to different colleges and would text almost everyday. He was in a fraternity and invited me and his friends to a party one weekend. We did everything but have sex. I was a virgin at the time and he knew. After I left the party, he hooked up with his friends girlfriend. I was kind of hurt because he literally hooked up with a girl right after me. Eventually I found out about it weeks later, but let it go because we weren’t together. He would still text me every now and then. His friend told me his goal was to take my virginity. It was clear his only intentions with me were to just hook up, he would text me sexual things, etc etc. we went our separate ways.
A year later, he started texting me throughout the summer. We hooked up a few times but it was clear he did not want anything. I still refused to have sex with him because I knew if I gave it to him, he would win. Eventually we went our separate ways....again.
Five years later, we are older and in our mid twenties. He reached out to me and we went on a few dates and they went pretty well. He seemed more grown up. But I can’t help but remain cautious. Once I got out of the car, the first thing he did was pick me up and kiss me. Now, he moved to another state and we no longer speak. He wanted me to visit him but due to Covid, I didn’t feel comfortable flying. I am not sure why I tend to gravitate towards him. Any ideas?? I feel dumb
