Do you think it is worth it to reach out to him?

Me(17F)and this guy(17M) talked for a little bit about 3 years ago now. He was nice, it just didn’t work. It kinda ended badly because of a misunderstanding on both sides and he blocked me on snapchat and I blocked him too. He now likes all my instagram posts and is the first person to view every story. His friends even told me he send them my instagram photos and simps (that’s kinda adorable ngl), but I feel like I am taking a huge risk by contacting him. Especially since I would have to use instagram or text which would be awkwarddd. I think he thinks I hate him and I don’t. I’m just scared. What if he doesn’t want to talk to me? Is it worth the risk? If I did text him, what would I say?
