Do you truly believe the saying “once a cheater always a cheater?”

Hey guys-

I was thinking about this the other day...

We’ve all heard the saying “once a cheater always a cheater,” but is that really true? I know someone who was sexually assaulted/raped and after that incident she was unable to maintain a relationship with a man. No matter how much she loved or cared, she found that she bad become hyper sexual. She felt addicted to cheating, having sex with multiple people, etc. While this might be a special case, one that’s rooted in trauma, do you think that people who cheat in general can ever stop? Is there such thing as sex addiction that might be rooted in trauma or is that just an excuse to cheat?
