So I have this friend, let's call him Jeff to make this easier. And before ya'll say anything, YES I am aware we are in the midst of a pandemic and that it's normal not to see some people for a long time. That doesn't apply here.
Jeff started dating this girl a few months ago. It seemed to be going well for him at first, which I was happy about because his previous relationship was extremely toxic for his mental health. Unfortunately, since he's started dating her we've been seeing him less and less. My closest friends and I have a small pod system that lets us see one another during quarantine provided we each follow certain guidelines. Since meeting this girl, Jeff has been showing up to less and less events, including Zoom-only events, and now he doesn't interact with anyone at all. Never shows up to anything even if he had committed previously, including on Zoom. He also violated some of our pandemic guidelines, resulting in his having to be disinvited from some get togethers until he'd isolated for long enough.
More recently, he asked the girl to move in with him and she did. That was two months ago, and they'd only been dating for two or three months at the time this happened. Since then, he hasn't hung out with or even tried to get into contact with anyone in our group, nor anyone else that we're friends with in our larger network of homies.
Anyone got advice on how to handle this? Should I just let him do his thing or should I speak up?
