I am someone who has had a lot of trouble with dating in the past. I'm 25 and have never had a relationship and I feel bad about myself in this regard. I used to read this subreddit for advice but recently I've just been hammered with notifications of popular posts that were just people talking about their bad experiences in dating. It's been demoralizing and I fear this subreddit pushes people into a spiral of negativity, especially since my irl friends seem to have a lot less of the problems people face on this subreddit.
Dating is hard, and often you can think you are self improving for years without results if you are working on the wrong thing. I spent years working on my social skills and now I'm an expert at talking to people and debating people but still can't get a relationship since I have too much trouble trusting people and loosening up.
Honestly I really hope this subreddit changes, but right now it seems like it can't help anyone anymore.
