I (27) have been talking to a guy (M33) I met online about 4 months. We have only met 3 times but we have video chatted every weekend for about 3 months. Recently, I been having a lot of doubts if he is actually interested in me or not. I have asked him before and he said he was looking for something long-term and I said I was looking for a long-term relationship too. I told him I needed to take things slow with intimacy because I’m inexperienced and never done anything besides kissing. He said we would go at my pace. But I feel like lately he has been more distant. Two days ago, I told him that my birthday was coming up next month. I was waiting for him to ask when and he didn’t. I decided not to tell him. Is this a red flag that he is not interested? I feel like even with a friend I would want to know to at least send a happy birthday text message. I was complaining about not liking my birthday because I get old but still.
