Little context, I F(33) had a first date with a guy M(34) last night. We met on Hinge. The date went so well, we clicked on so many intellectual and emotional levels, really deep conversations and we thought very similarly. He seemed really sweet and interesting. He seemed nervous during the date in a cute way and was definitely trying to impress me. He’s successful, good looking and there was definite chemistry. We elongated the date and at our last bar he kissed me and we made out a little, nothing crazy or long just definite chemistry and attraction. Then he walked me home and outside my apt building when he kissed me goodnight he grabbed and squeezed my ass as we were kissing. I didn’t say anything as I think I was in shock, in all my years of dating no one has ever done that on the first date or even the 3rd date unless we were actually in bed! After he left I realized I felt sad bc I was disappointed at how disrespectful that was, especially considering our age, we should be beyond that behavior. I don’t know I liked him otherwise, but that really raised a bit of a red flag…he also asked if I had tequila in my apt and that we should go up and drink some, I wasnt yet comfortable inviting him up so I said “Not on the first date”. Am I overreacting or is it not appropriate to grab and squeeze someone’s butt on the first date? I can’t believe I even have to ask this, but I just want to rule out if I’m being too much of a prude (which I’m definitely no prude) or if I’m expecting too much gentlemanly behavior
