I was scrolling through my post history and found a post I made asking for advice with asking a girl out. I was so nervous. I ended up just texting her, because I was too nervous to say anything in person.
A lot has changed since then. I’ve asked several women out in person. I’ve hit on girls at bars with some level of success. The big thing that changed was my confidence, obviously. I built it up, accidentally, with one trick.
I started asking potential friends for their numbers or their social media. It wasn’t as stressful, because there was no pretense. People always say yes to that because we all want friends. Over time, I just began to expect that I’d get a yes, and that changed how I asked and who I asked. I was a little nervous the first time I asked a girl for her number, but less than a year ago I would not have even asked a girl for her number.
I may be rambling, but I hope it helps someone. Try asking people that you share hobbies with for their IG or phone number. You’ll be surprised how much it helps to hear yes on something so simple.
