Wanted to get you guys opinion on my current situation.
Been dating this girl for about 5 months, we are not officially boyfriend and girlfriend but we kinda act like a couple.
She is 33 and I am 28
Anyways last friday I when out to a bar with a couple of friends, earlier that day I had let her know I was going out with some friends.
While at the bar I posted an Instagram story of the entire bar and another story of me doing cheers with one of my girl friends that was in the group.
The girl I’m in dating saw this story and immediately thought I was on a date. She texted me telling me enjoy the date, she was obviously pissed.
We had plans to hangout the next day, she cancelled those plans and pretty much texted me saying my story hurt her feelings because she’s been rejecting other guys and is only seeing me, she said she felt like a dumbass
I told her the girl was just a friend that was in the group that night, I even offered to facetime her that same night to show her it was just friends
I also told her she was the only girl im seeing and that she could check my phone.
But she said she doesn’t believe me and said she needed space
I never given her a reason to not trust me and I think she’s overreacting to the whole situation
I guess from her perspective it might have looked it was just me and another girl but it was a group of friends and I even offered to facetime her, I still think she overreacting
What do you guys think, I told her I’ll giver her all the space she wants
Do you guys think she’s overreacting or she has the right to act this way
Maybe she was just looking for the smallest excuses to “ask for space”, idk i think it such a small thing to get mad about and ask for space
