We are both in our early 20s. He cannot walk or stand whatsoever and I am a bit nervous about how things'll go. Obviously I don't mind it (not yet at least, he seems like a really cool, handsome and nice guy and we have a lot in common), but are there things I should take into consideration? Like do I hold the doors open for him? To what degree should I help him with things (getting in and out of the car, taking and hanging up his coat, etc.)? And how will the goodbye kiss happen (if that will happen of course, maybe not), do I just lean down on my own initiative?
I am sorry if these questions are stupid, but I have never even met a person in a wheelchair and I am just looking for some tips and maybe experiences from others who've also dated people who were in a wheelchair. Thanks!
