In the world of dating and asking questions, who still plays the honest and upfront game?

Is anyone completely, and wholeheartedly honest with answers to questions to the best of their ability? Or does anyone hide truths and facts. To a certain extent, maybe it's best to have a husband of an ugly women stay blind. But is that ethical? Why would anyone do that, and what's their policy?
