Need help on how I should go about getting this guy to like ask me out

I (20,f) kinda like this boy (21) who we have a lot of mutual friends and he’s like around a lot. We’ve talked before and he’s my date to my sorority’s formal but like I want to get to know him and like actually be like friends and grow into a relationship I guess but like I don’t know how to go about that and would love any advice I could get.
