[25F] The last 3 years I've spent time working on myself and focusing on my career; I've recently began dating again. I've had relationships in the past and have been on a handful of dates that didn't go anywhere, but overall I have very little dating experience. Now that I'm starting to date again, I need some advice.
In general, I experience strong emotions. When it comes to dating and potential relationships, my emotions are quite intense. Either I have very lukewarm feelings that are almost non-existent and I don't pursue it, or I get infatuated easily. This is something I am going to work on during my dating experience.
My question is: for those of you who have or have been in long-term relationships, what were your feelings like for that person in the beginning? Did you feel strongly right off the bat, or was it more of a slow burn that developed over time?
Obviously everyone will have different experiences, but I'm curious to see which tends to have the most success in the long run.
