This happened 4 years ago right before I got together with my boyfriend and I've told him about this.
I matched with a guy from high school named James on Tinder. We used to flirt back then but it never went anywhere. He was cute back then too but as an adult, he grew up! Anyway, after we matched we messaged right away, exchanged numbers, and made plans to catch up in person on a date. I was really excited and told a couple of friends that I was finally going on a date with James from high school. The plan was to get dinner at a sushi restaurant on a Saturday night. By the time the day of the date arrives, he texts me that he won't be able to go on our date because work called him in because someone called out so they needed him. I told him it's okay, I understand and that we can reschedule. A couple of later, I texted James to ask when he wants to reschedule the date but no answer so I texted him only two more times in the day just to ask how he's doing and such, nothing crazy. I never heard from him again. I'll never know what happened. I so badly wanted to go off on him but let it go. Why do people do this? I felt hurt and completely let down.
