Two months ago I started talking to a guy (23) and I think I’m starting to have feelings for him. He’s a great guy , not the type to play with feelings and is straight forward with what he’s feeling. But I have never been in a relationship before so I’m not sure how things will work out with him. During all of this my Bestfriend knows I’m taking to him, she’s been making jokes that we will be together and all sorts of stuff in the beginning.
But 2 weeks ago her demeanor about him changed, saying she doesn’t think he’s the one for me. I see the reason why, he’s been in past relationships and still suffers from pain from those. Which is a very alarming point, im not about to try to fix a man especially in my first relationship. But the timing about her concerns me, we both knew what type of position he was in at the beginning of this. She as well been talking to a guy, for about the same time, but it hasn’t been going as well. He won’t reply until hours later, and found out as well he has been talking to another girl at the beginning.( never confronted him about it) . Her situation with him hasn’t progressed at all and she’s been thinking of stopping it multiple times. She’s been telling me to drop him and go back to talking to a guy from a 2 years ago. Telling me she really wanted me to be with him. This threw me off Guard because she have never mentioned this to me. He definitely wasn’t someone I would be with when it comes to something serious. He was just looking for a smash and pass, and she knows this. So why him out of all people. I’m I just paranoid about this situation ?
