M(17) never been on a date or even really talked to a girl

I've only really talked to a girl when it comes to a question they ask and I haven't ever really tried to speak to any girls I like

I was wondering if this is ok for my age. As I am very self conscious about this. I feel as if I'm behind everyone else and I don't know why.
