What is the difference between exclusive and relationship?

I have been seeing a girl for a few weeks now and I have asked her if we are exclusive to which she says we can be if I want, but she isn't sure if she's ready for a relationship just yet? I am not sure what the difference is anyway. (we were exclusive before the lockdown if anyone thinks this is a factor)
