I know people on here hate it when people use dating apps to make friends, but some people will specifically say on their profile that they're looking for a relationship as well as new friends. Apps like OkCupid even have the option to include it built-in.
I'm mainly looking for a relationship, but I'm also interested in making friends. Sometimes I'll see someone who I'm not attracted to but who seems really cool. I just feel uncomfortable swiping right and matching with them because I don't want them to think I'm interested like that. How should I go about it? It seems weird to start a conversation saying I'm not interested in dating them, but if I wait until we meet up, they'll think it's a date.
