So last night, I (22M) was drunk and talking with my drunk bud about how in the past few years, any woman that I've had any interest on has had a boyfriend.
This went further to my most recent interest, where I told him I was texting her daily for about 2-3 weeks and that's when I found out she has a boyfriend. I told him if she didn't have someone, I'd have asked her out in about a few weeks from there. He said that's too early. I couldn't fathom why.
He asked me what all had you talked with her. I said pretty much everything (except inappropriate stuff, since I have a hard time gauging interest on text). He said that isn't enough.
Was he right? Do I come off as too strong if I ask her out in about 5-6 weeks of knowing each other?
