I’m [25/F] not attracted to average looking men. I like really good looking, well put together men. They have a nice body, nice face, good sense of style. And I’m immediately attracted to them.
I don’t want someone where I have to work on feeling for them emotionally in order to like them physically. I feel like that’s settling. I’ve dated someone I wasn’t attracted to before and we didn’t do anything as simple as cuddling. I wasn’t able to form an emotional connection due to not being able to get past the looks.
Now I don’t want to settle, but I’m also not having any luck either. I get the attention of the good looking men, but they never want to pursue anything stable with me. It’s always just for fun on their end.
Recently I’ve been told I’m too focused on looks and that I need to bring my standards down. I just don’t think that’s fair. If I do, I’ll have no problem finding a partner. But I feel I won’t be as invested due to wanting a particular type of man in the looks department.
