We were having a convo about something that happened when we last hung out with our group of friends, and this what I texted him: “also- I was wondering if u want to go get dinner together or something, sometime in the spring?”
(Spring semester is when we’re both on campus again, since we’re both college students)
He texted back: “yeah sure, I’m always up to hang out. Just lmk when ur free when we get back”
His response wasn’t actually clear that he knows it’s a date, or if he knows it’s a date but he’s friend-zoning (or at least to me, it wasn’t)
so I responded: “k cool. Just to check- just the two of us? Or do u want us to hang out in a group of friends? Lol”
He said: “either one is good with me lol”
Which is ?? I think I’ve done my best to be clear as I can and also give him a way out. I have no idea if he’s actually clueless, or if he’s just not that interested but isn’t being upfront with turning me down. Should I just go along with it, or ask him to clarify?
