Is it possible to catch feelings over someone you’ve been texting more or less every day over 3 months?

Voice recordings, video chatting, texting etc I met this guy on hinge and we’ve been talking for a while. I know you can’t fall in love.. but can you grow to care for someone and miss them after 3 months of texting. I’m asking because I broke it off due to busy schedule on my part/and long distance. But I feel like I might miss him? Kinda regretting it..
