I’ve [22F] been seeing this guy [22M] for a couple months now. We talk over Instagram, he direct messaged me one day and we made plans to hang out. It went good. We were talking about making more plans again soon, then he left one of my messages on read and I didn’t hear from him for 2 weeks.
2 weeks later he sends me a dm and starts up a conversation again. He apologized for ghosting and said it was because he was isolating.
So we start talking again, he seems to be interested in me and is carrying a full conversation on. I really like the guy he’s pretty cool and we have a lot in common. Then today I wake up and see he left my most recent reply on read (again) and completely deactivated his IG account.
We only communicate over IG so we have no other way of talking. We were on the topic of social media apps once and he did tell me once he found IG toxic. He also did get out of a long relationship 6 months ago and I felt from day 1 that maybe he was still going through the motions of it - BUT STILL the dude hit me up in the first place.
What does this mean? He could’ve at least asked for my number before wiping his social media right? I’m kind of devastated because we seemed mutually into each other our messaging was very equal and we have fun together in person.
