I’ve been off the market for a while after contracting HSV2 (genital herpes) from a terrible man. I’m looking to get back out there again, and I’m toying with some of the best ways to disclose to potential partners. Generally, I am a relationship person and would like something long-term. Here are some ideas for disclosure:

Write it in the bio of my dating profiles: I’ve seen some people do this with some success for hookups but not sure about serious relationships.

Disclose over text: After establishing a rapport/connection with someone, I could use a pre-written disclosure script to let them know about it.

Disclose in person: When sex seems like the next natural step, I could casually disclose in person.
Please let me know what you all think. I’m hoping to get some opinions from HSV negative people to gauge how they might feel. I’m leaning towards disclosing in person, but I think the timing can be a little tricky. Also, if anyone has questions about HSV, I’d be happy to answer.
