So I (27M) went on three dates with her (25F) in January. I wasn’t sure about it, I liked her, we had a lot in common but they just felt a bit tense and not very relaxed. I was going to end it at the third date, but then decided I’d give it one more go, however she declined a fourth date and we left things there. Since I wasn’t sure about a fourth, I was fine with it, though a little disappointed things didn’t work out as we were great on paper.
Anyway, she messaged me yesterday and left a voice note to say she was in a really bad place when we dated due to a new job, getting evicted (nothing wrong on her end, the landlord was selling up), some family stuff, etc...and admitted she shouldn’t have been dating during all that. She also said she wasn’t very experienced when it comes to dating and has never been in a relationship.
On my end, I just found dating in full lockdown a really weird experience.
She said she liked me and wanted to see me again, but would understand if I didn’t want to.
In short, I messaged back to say that I’d be up for doing something again. We are due to meet up on Wednesday.
Have I made the right decision? I’d usually wouldn’t bother, but considering her situation, things being weird in a pandemic (but now there’s more to do as things slowly return to normal), etc, it just felt right to do away with the normal rules of dating and give it another go.
Thoughts?
