I’ve been seeing someone for about 2 months now. I’ve known her for a few years. Things are great. She’s great. We vibe really well and have the same interests. One small problem- I’ve fallen for her and now I want to pursue a real relationship. Before her I had never really wanted to be exclusive or even be in a relationship. I like the idea of her being my girlfriend though. We’ve both talked about how we like being on the DL with our personal lives. I’m not wanting to tell the entire world but I would like to be able to say “I have a girlfriend” and I guess I could without her actually being my girlfriend because I’m loyal to her for the most part. I don’t talk to other girls and I don’t have any dating profiles. I give my free time to her and what not. I’m afraid if I ask her to be my girlfriend that she will say no and it may lead to us no longer being friends at all. Help
TLDR: I want to ask a girl to be my girlfriend but I’m afraid she won’t like the idea and we will no longer be friends.
