I was talking about this with some friends. I shared I've been with around 30-40 after doing some quick math and people thought this was above average.
I was with 2 people in high school. About 3-5 new partners per year in college including relationships, FWB, and hook ups on vacations and what not. Since college, I've been online dating for years and probably have a new sex partner once a month on average in addition to a few relationships. Since the beginning of this year, I've been dating and have had sex with 8 guys for example. I'm still in touch with 5 of them and I reach out to them to hook up but nothing more.
I don't consider myself abnormal and the math seems pretty straightforward. It's all been consensual and fun. Do other women just lie about their number? Do they just stop at oral sex? How do other women get sexual satisfaction? How do other women date to find a life partner without having sex? Am I missing something?
I've heard that women "don't count" one night stands or sex on vacation. Just the guys they have serious relationships with which is fine if this is some norm but is it?
