Alright y'all I'm a cashier and there's a customer that I can't get out of my head. A few weeks ago I noticed this guy had come back after a few hours and I asked him if he forgot something and he said that he's always there and that he comes in like 20 times a day. And me being me, without thinking how it'll sound say "well that's something to look forward to" in front of him and my boss, my boss gave me a thumbs up and went to tell all of my coworkers, the guy checked me out while I wanted to sink into the ground. And then he came back again and a coworker had asked if he wanted to check out in his line but the guy smiled at me and said "no I like her" to top it all off all of my coworkers know and will point to the displays (which is notably very red) and say things like "it's you" or just chuckle at me while my face turns red. And then a few days later me and another cashier were having a dance off and I turn around mid spin and the same customer is right behind me. Fucking fumble every part of me and he just asks when he should pick me up to go dancing couldn't get a real word out why is it always him this is just fueling my coworkers reactions. And now yesterday I found out that customer's name in the worst way. I was chatting with a coworker and I told him to "suck my richard" for something she said I forget but anyway the customer heard and he was like "ya know I don't think I got your name" and I was like "oh well I'm me" and I shake his hand. He tells me His name while shaking my hand and looking me in the eye. His name is Richard. Cue me wanting to die. Again.
All of my coworkers want me to give him my number and I'm going to do it the next time I see him. It's on a slip of paper in my pocket. Wish me luck.
What a first impression.
