Background: I’m a 40+ single women, married for 15+ years but now divorced for 2.
I decided to start dating again and met a great guy online. Similar age and previous relationship experiences. Similar likes and dislikes, great chemistry and mutual attraction. We both have multiple children from our previous relationship but make time to see each other 1 or twice a week, although there can be gaps if schedules get crazy. We have been together casually for 8 months. Our agreement is that we are not exclusive and can see other people if we want to. I have not seen anyone else during this time, I suspect he has, but it’s not something we discuss.
These past months have been great and probably the happiest of my adult life. And I think I’m really falling for this guy. However, my future is uncertain. There is a chance I will relocate in a few years because my kids will all be in college and I have to sell my house and I have no reason to stay in this town.
Do I tell him I’m falling for him and I want to be exclusive? Sometimes I think he feels the same, but he is really hard to read. Maybe he will be the reason I stay here, but that seems like a lot of pressure.
Or do I just enjoy what I have?
