I (24F) was wondering why it's okay for older men to go out with younger women, but when the tables are turned, it's weird.

What I mean by that is if the age difference is 5 years or greater. * Obviously I mean people of consenting age. * Like stated, I'm a 24 year old woman. My friend met her current bf of 3 years when she was 18 and he was 25. They didn't officially go out until she was 21, but they talked before that.

I've been single my whole life and been pretty picky about men. I've recently considered opening my horizons and being okay with going out with someone younger then me. Would it make me creepy if I went out with someone that was younger, like 19 or 18? I'm just afraid of my family judging me or my friends ridiculing me. I'm not saying I would scope out men younger then me, I just wouldn't be opposed to it.

Like does it make me creepy? Or is it all in my head?
